He was a music instructor in Presque Isle, ME; Gardiner, ME and Camden, ME schools.
He had been active in the Maine Music Festivals and the New England Festivals having conducted many groups at those concerts.
Prior to his teaching career he was a violinist with both the Portland, ME and the Boston, MA Symphony Orchestras.
He is survived by his wife Doris; two daughters Mrs Joan Parer of Bethel, ME; Mrs Dorothy Chamberlain of South Casco, ME; a sister Mrs Clara Davis of South Paris, ME.
