BELLEVILLE - Ellen M. Boova, 83, of Lewistown, died at 1:36 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Valley View Haven in Belleville.Born Dec. 21, 1929, in Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Elizabeth M. (Gaffney) Cox.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Boova, on Nov. 25, 2007.Ellen is survived by her son, Christopher J. Boova and wife, Carrie, of New York, and her grandchildren, Andrew Robert Boova and Matthew Isaac Boova.She was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a dietitian at Lewistown Hospital.She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lewistown.Ellen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her military service and her work at Lewistown Hospital. She was an animal lover.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, with Father Michael Opoki officiating.Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, where graveside military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 7011, Lewistown.Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.
