NATHAN FRITZ DIES AT AGE OF 67



A retired road foreman of the Jersey Central Railroad, Nathan D. Fritz, 67, of Green Street, Ashley, died at the General Hospital yesterday afternoon following four months' illness.

Mr. Fritz was born in Ashley May 12, 1886 and lived there all his life. He was a graduate of Ashley High School. He was retired on March 1 after being employed by the railroad 46 years.

He was a member of Ashley Methodist Church, it's Men's Bible Class and Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Surviving are his widow, the former Catherine Price; 12 children, Mrs. Lucy Azain, William S., Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Martha Dubroski of Elizabeth, N.J.; Mrs. Catherine Titus, Baltimore; Mrs. Bessie Connole, Nathan Jr., Edward H., Willard Eugene, John P., Robert B. and Thomas, all of Ashley; Ronald D. with the U.S. Air Force, Orlando, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Edward H., New Castle.

Two sisters and a brother died in 1952.

Funeral will be held Thursday at 2 from the Homer E. Graham Funeral Home, 324 South Franklin Street, with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Rev. Chester Harris will officiate.

Friends may call Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon and evening.
