John Duckworth 1861-1952
John Duckworth, 90, resident of Flynn Township more than 70 years, died early Tuesday
Morning, in Rogers Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
Mr. Duckworth was born in Dorchester, Ontario, Canada on October 7, 1861, and moved to
Flynn Township when he was 19. He married Anna Louise Flynn at Yale Michigan on Nov.4, 1883.
He is survived by his widow; 3 sons John of Decker, Michigan, George of Jacksonville, Florida;
Harry of Brown City, Michigan; 4 daughters, Mrs. John E (Hannah) Young and Mrs. Edwin
(Ada) Mahaffy of Brown City, Michigan; Mrs. John (Rachel) Tuer of Port Huron, Michigan and
Mrs. Hugh (Gertrude) Graham of East Jordon, Michigan; two brothers, Peter of London, Ontario,
Canada and Edward of Bothell, Ontario, Canada. 31 Grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; 3
great-great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Friday in Omard Methodist Church, Rev. Bell, pastor
will officiate. Elk Lodge #353, F&AM Conducting burial rites at the Omard Cemetery. His
Remains are in the Carman Funeral Home, Brown City, Michigan
