Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother

LOWELL, MA -- Dawn (Capone) (Darrigo) Serafini, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly on August 20, 2012, at her home, aged 50 years. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey "Rick" Serafini.

Born in Lowell, December 23, 1961, a daughter of Daniel Capone, Jr. of Lowell and the late Ruth Ann (Wyman) Capone. She received her early education in the Lowell school system, and graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1979. Dawn went on to further her education, earning an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education at Middlesex Community College.

For over thirteen years, Dawn was associated with the Lowell Public School system as a Paraprofessional at the Dr. An Wang Middle School on West Meadow Road.

Mrs. Serafini was a loyal supporter and number one fan of her husband Jeffrey's authentic Eagles tribute band, Another Tequila Sunrise. She also took great pride in her student's achievements. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, especially her cherished grandchildren.

Dawn was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a great sense of humor, a big heart, and a warm soul. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Besides her loving husband and devoted father, she is survived by four children, Mark J. Darrigo Jr. and his wife Melanie of Maine, twins Stephen A. Darrigo of Arkansas, and Stephanie L. Darrigo and her fiancé Jacob Karg, and Brian D. Chosse, all of Lowell. Three grandchildren; Alexis, Gavin and Natalie Darrigo. Two sisters, Robin McKennedy and her husband James of Lowell, and Amy Beth Capone of Chelmsford; a brother, Daniel Capone III and his wife Tamara of Clay, NY.
