Mr. Ross had lived and farmed in the Cairo community until moving to Lafayette in 1940. He worked as a guard for National Homes for 12 years, and was a part-time driver for Yellow Cab for several years. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Mary May and Betsy Lee, both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Willard Gentry of Dayton.
