She attended Hardesty Schools and later attended beauty school and worked as a beautician for 20 years.

She was a member of Union Center Methodist Church.

She was a member of Memorial Hospital of Texas County Hospital Auxiliary, Dustbowl Dames Hardesty Senior Citizens and Hardesty Homemakers.

In her younger years, she enjoyed roping and barrel racing, senior citizens dances and playing cards and was a league bowler for the Hardesty Mercantile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister,

Funeral services were at the Hardesty High School Auditorium with the Rev. Herbert Bridgewater pastor of the Hardesty United Methodist Church presiding.

Burial followed at the Range Cemetery.
