"After an illness of many months, Mr. Buford W. Bailey was claimed by death Saturday, February 5th at his home on Cleveland Street. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the city cemetery, Rev. J.H. Mashburn officiating. Mr. Bailey had been County Treasurer for a long time. A sister, Miss Lillie Bailey and a brother, Mr. E.L. Bailey, survive him."
