Mrs. Emily C. Wiberg
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Sabylund Lutheran church of Lund for Mrs. Emily Wiberg, 87 of Red Wing, Minn. The Rev. Carl H. Gronquist officiated and burial was in New Sabylund cemetery.
Mrs. Wiberg died Monday, Nov. 2, in TAD nursing home at Plum City after a long illness. Born Mar. 26, 1883, in the town of Frankfort, she was a daughter of John and Josephine Ogren Olson. Baptized and confirmed at Little Plum Lutheran Church, she attended Frankfort school. She was married Sept. 28, 1903 to Albert Wiberg in the town of Pepin. They resided on a farm in the town of Maiden rock near Lund and she joined Sabylund Lutheran church. Mr. Wiberg died in 1947. In 1966, she moved to Red Wing to reside with a daughter, Viola, and a son, Wallace.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mauritz (Frida) Nelson of Minneapolis, Mrs. Gladys Caturia and Dorothy Wiberg of Maiden Rock, and Viola of Red Wing, four sons, Henry and Wallace of Red Wing, Alvin of Hager City and Maynard of Minneapolis, 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
There also are a brother, Ephraim Olson of Plum City, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ellen) Anderson and Mrs. Hjalmer (Olga) Mattson of Red Wing. Preceding Mrs. Wiberg in death besides her husband were a daughter, a son, two sisters and a brother.
