Funeral services were held for former resident Jessye Leora Clark, 87, Spencer, at the United Methodist Church in Laurens. She died at the Spencer Municipal Hospital from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Jessye L. Clark was born at Walnut, Iowa, to Gus and Adaline Feldman. She married William T. Clark Oct. 14, 1914. The couple farmed in the Mallard-Curlew area for many years. Her husband died in 1955. Jessye Clark had lived in Spencer for the last three years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, William and Belmont; and brothers, Lawrence, Earl and Fred.”
Survivors included a daughter, three sons, 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, and two brothers.
