JACK DONALD BUEHLER PORTAGE, IN Jack Donald Buehler, age 65 of Portage, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013. He was a lifelong area resident.

Jack was born on December 26, 1947 to the late Jack and Katherine Buehler. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion. He was formerly an employee of City of Hammond. Jack will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

Jack is survived by his wife, Rebecca Buehler; daughter, Cassie (Ivan) Romero of East Chicago; son, Jack Steven Buehler of Portage; two grandchildren: Haylee and Sophia; sister, Gayle (Michael) Beschinski; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Summer-Walsh.

There will be a burial of cremains service Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL at 2:00 p.m.
