Funeral services for Agnes Elizabeth Green, 84, of rural St. Joseph, were held Aug. 1 in Freese Funeral Home at St. Joseph with Rev. Doug Hennessy officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Mayview.

Mrs. Green died July 28 in Burnham hospital.

Born January 21, 1894, in Wichita, Kan., she was a daughter of Stephen and Anna Barbara Wenta. She married Joe Cashmark and later married David Spaw in Kansas City in 1929. He died May 3, 1947. She then married Bruce Green in 1952 in Arkansas. He died Aug. 9, 1969.

Survivors include a son, Joe Wenta of rural St. Joseph; a daughter, Shirley Evosovich of Maryville, Tenn.; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Wenta of Glendale, Calif., and 2 sisters, Anna Cooper of California and Frances Clark of Los Angeles, Calif.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Green was a member of the Catholic Church. She and her husband ran a pet shop in Kansas City for many years.
