JAMES OSCAR LONG-----James Oscar Long, 90, whose home had been at 1228 Dale Street, died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the Lipplegoes Nursing home after a short illness. He was born May 3, 1870 at Armstrong, Pa., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Long. He married Susan Jane Chizum Feb. 4, 1894 at Garrison, Ia. Mr. Long was a member of the Glad Tidings church, the Moose and Modern Woodmen lodges. Surviving are two sons, Archie Lee Long, of Palm Springs, Calif., and Ray Lindsey Long of Mesa, Ariz., and a brother, Everett Long, of Missouri. There are three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the George M. Wittich Funeral Home, where the body is remaining. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery.
