Mrs. Adkins was born and moved to Brunswick County in 1982. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Southport and had been employed with Wal-Mart.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Donald Adkins of the home; a daughter, Tonya Dreyer of Supply; 4 sons, Tommy and Garry Hall of Boiling Spring Lakes, Kenneth Adkins of Bolivia, and Edward Adkins of Holden Beach; her father and step-mother, James V. and Margaret H. Butler of Bolivia; a brother, James Vernon Butler, Jr. of Middletown, New Jersey; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jackson David Hall.
