Mary Nell White Anthony, age 83, of Alcoa, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at a local Blount County hospital.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Anthony; parents, Robert and Nellie White; sister, Martha White; brothers, James and Lee White.
She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Anthony; two sons, James (Cynthia) Anthony, and Larry (Mildred) Anthony, all of Alcoa; one sister, Barbara Prince, and one brother, Edward White, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; eight grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Mattie White of Etowah, Tenn., Judy and JoAnne Anthony of Alcoa; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at St. Peter Primitive Baptist Church, 140 East Howe Street, with Elder Leander Blackmon officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service, from 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will follow at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Knoxville. Visitation by friends will begin after 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Foothills Funeral Home, 910 E. Lincoln Road, Maryville.∼Mary Anthony, of Alcoa, died Sunday evening at Blount Memorial Hospital. Arrangements will be announced later by Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville.
