Son of William H Duffield and Milly B Hall. Born in Minnesota and moved to Montana with his parents in 1910, settled there to homestead and farm near Baker. Had 3 brothers, Charles H, John A, and Willis J. Father of John E. Duffield, Moved to Grays Harbor during the Depression to work at a Shingle Mill in Aloha Wa. Met and Married Elva B Jensen. Moved back to Montana - North Dakota where my Father John was born. Moved back to Grays Harbor to work. His Family joined him in 1937. In 1941 they moved to a farm on Middle Satsop Rd Between Montesano and Elma. Raised my Father John and a Step Daughter Wanda on the farm. Sickly in his latter years, I never knew him when he was active.
