She was also preceded in death by
her husband, Ponce Baldwin, Sr;
her sister, Aggiebelle Diggs.
She got to know Christ at an early age and was baptized at Oak Grove AME of Mount Pleasant, FL. She attended Springfield Elementary School in Gretna and graduated from Carter Parramore High School. Later in life, she met Ponce Baldwin of Chattahoochee, FL. They joined in holy matrimony and unto this union, four beautiful children were born. She was a prayer warrior and was a faithful member of Lee Chapel AME Church. She was lovingly called "Big Red" by her close friends and loved ones. She was known to love Johnny Taylor and "them down home blues".
She is survived by
her four children, her oldest daughter, Gail Bridges-Bright (Tommy), oldest son, Curtis Diggs (Valencia), both of Tallahassee, FL, daughter, Tracey Hall (Gregory) and her baby son, Ponce Baldwin, Jr., both of Cincinnati, OH;
two sisters, Henrietta Diggs and Loretta Diggs, both of Cincinnati, OH;
one aunt, Mable Smith of FL;
two uncles, Louis Gilliam (Juanita) and Sullivan Gilliam, both of Cincinnati;
11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service at Lee Chapel AME Church. Burial in Walnut Hills Cemetery.
