ANITA JO DUNLAP BEEL, 75, went to be with the Lord on February 17th, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, James & Mertie Dunlap and brothers Jimmy Dunlap and William Dunlap.

Born in Addran, Texas, Anita was a life-long Houstonian. She will be remembered for her strength, her zest for life, her love of her family and her beautiful sunshiny smile.

Anita is survived by her loving and devoted husband, George Beel, son Craig Gibbs & wife Suzanne, daughter, Carla Washington & grandchildren, Dashia Richey and husband Johnny, Casey Gibbs & Graylin Washington, Jr., sister Minnie Copeland & husband Jessie, brother Douglas Dunlap & sister-in-law Billie Jean Reed. Also survived by Skipper Beel and wife Lianne, Becky Eggers and husband Sonny, Hank Beel, Debbie Gunter & husband Roy, Cindy Wolfe & husband Nick. She will be fondly remembered & deeply missed by her family and many close friends.

During her long struggle with cancer, she drew much strength from a host of sources. Her old high school friends, family, Christian friends and especially from the Lord and His Church that meets in Deer Park, Texas. Many thanks to Dr. Fromm and her staff, associated hospitals, and the Vitas Hospice from our family to them.

Family will receive friends from 6-8PM Wednesday evening at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM with Mr. Paul Dawson officiating and burial at San Jacinto Cemetery to follow. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
