CEDAR CITY--Maxine Stevens Bentley , 78, passed away May 8, 1996 at the Cedar Care Center in Cedar City, Utah. She was born October 21, 1917 in Parowan, Utah to Clarence E. and Madge Wilcock Stevens. She married Deward Bentley on January 22, 1934 in Parowan, Utah.
She is survived by her husband Deward of 62 years, three sons and two daughters: Deward Berdell (MaryLue) Bentley of Delta, Utah; Rodney Stevens (Jo) Bentley of Cedar City, Utah; Randy Clarence (JoyLynn) Bentley of Brigham City, Utah; Beverly Dawn (Ray) Gillins of Cedar City, Utah; and Brenda Lamoreaux of Lima, Montana; 30 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren, two sisters: Elsie (Larry) Shartrand; Emma (Rex) Bess and a brother: Richard Stevens.
She is preceded in death by her pareents, two brothers, Gordon Stevens, Robert Stevens, one granddaughter Shayla Rose Gillens Ashby and two grandsons, Tommy Bentley and Dennis Gillins.
She will be missed very much by her family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 1996, at 11 a.m. in the Cedar City 2-8th LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Southern Utah Mortuary in Cedar City, Utah. Interment will be in the Parowan City Cemetery.
