In 1996, Paul began his federal career with the Bureau of Prisons in Greenville, IL. In 2000 he moved to Washington, DC where he accepted a position as a police office with the Bureau of Engraving & Printing. In 2002 he moved to Baltimore, MD where he was selected as a Special Agent with the U. S. Customs Service. In 2006 he transferred to the U. S. ICE office in Chicago, IL where he most recently worked at the HSI O'Hare International Airport. He took pride in serving out nation throughout his more than 17 years of federal service.
Paul was a fitness enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his pets, including his chocolate lab, Marley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony and Dorothy Luckshis and Adam and Hedwig Hornberger.
Surviving are his parents, Paul J. Hornberger, Sr. and Linda Luckshis Hornberger of Holiday Shores, IL; brother, Eric A. Hornberger of Holiday Shores, IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousin and friends.
