Grace Allen, 79, of Rock Island, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
Grace was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Beardstown, Ill., daughter of Milton and Virgie Lindsey DeMoss. She married Oscar Allen Dec. 21, 1947, in Mississippi County, Ark. He died March 10, 1985.
Grace was a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to country music, watching television and being with her friends and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Eckhardt, Davenport, LeAnn Allen, Rock Island, and Sheila Allen, Moline; a son, Mike (wife, Debbie) Allen, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy VanBlaricom, Rockford, Ill., and Florence Baron, Joliet, Ill.; a former son-in-law, Robert Eckhardt, Davenport; a former daughter-in-law, Joyce Baker, Moline; and special friends, Mary and Elmer Kenney, Davenport.
