Born in Floresta Colorado. Floresta was originally named Ruby and then Ruby-Anthracite but then changed to the spanish word for "forest". Floresta was a coal mining town that eventually became the shipping hub for the area. The mines here were worked on and off until the mid 1930's. Tommy was very independent and was a good friend and neighbor. He was well know through out the area as a hunter, fisherman and accomplished trapper as well as a quide. He resided in Crested Butte Colorado.
