She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Henry Gouge and her three sisters, Elizabeth Kendrick, Clara Freeman and Anna Holden.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory five children, Charlene Harry and her husband, David of Raleigh, Alan Gouge and his wife, Nancy of Silver Spring, MD, Barbara Krushenski and her husband, Ken of Oak Ridge, TN, Bruce Gouge and his wife, Donna of Pfafftown, NC and Charles Gouge and his wife Eva of Naperville, IL. Also surviving are eight beloved grandchildren, Brian and Craig Harry, Catherine Gouge, Kevin, Kurt and Karl Krushenski, Wendy Berube and Kerry Pendleton; seven cherished great-grandchildren; a special brother-in-law; two half brothers; one half sister and so many dear nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Memories will be everlasting for her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Millbrook United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, N.C. 27612.
The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road from 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2005.
