Adam was the son of Isaac Kuykendall and his first wife Nancy Sites, and the step-son of Mary Mongold Kuykendall. Adam's mother Nancy died of consumption less than two weeks after his first birthday.
He was married first to Rosa Whetzel. They had two children, Dolph and Beulah (who lived to 101 and was the wife of Daniel Fitzwater). They were divorced. Adam married a second time to Amanda Mongold, who died in 1946. They had these children that I know of: Edward, Pete, Ervin, Maggie, Harry, Fred and Georgia. He was survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several half-siblings. His half-brother Ernest, who died in 1963, was my great-grandfather.
Adam is remembered as walking all over the place, even in his very very old age. He wouldn't take a lift even if you offered one. Perhaps that is why he lived to be 93!
