Mrs. Mary Catherine Althouse of 106 West Blanch street, died Saturday afternoon after an illness of three weeks. She was born at Intercourse, Lancater county, PA., and was 56 years and 4 months of age.
She was the mother of eight children, all of whom remain to mourn her loss. They are George H., John S. and Lee I., of Philadelphia, Mrs. martha L. Nye and Ida, Minnie, Mary and William L. of this city.
She was a noble Christian mother and a faithful and consistent member of the First M. E. Church. The funeral will take place on Tuesday afternoon.
