Alonna Lee Ellis was born Dec 19, 1946, in North Bend, Oregon, the daughter of Aldwin "Stubby" and Gladys Ellis. She was raised in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School in 1965. She married David Lane Hassall on July 15, 1967.
Alonna worked as a data entry operator for J.C. Penney until the early 1980's and then was a day-care provider out of her home until about 1997.
Alonna passed away on July 11, 2000 from heart and kidney disease at the age of 53. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and by her younger brother, Corp Aldwin Ardean "Sparky" Ellis Jr., who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967.
