Mother of four sons and two daughters. Her journals dating to around 1714 have been published and she has been called "one of the earliest American female authors."

2. Joseph Coit was born Nov. 15, 1698.
3. Samuel Coit was born Feb. 18, 1700; d. May 9, 1703 in his 4th year.
4. Thomas Coit was born June 1, 1702; d. Mar. 10, 1725.
5. Elizabeth Coit born March 22, 1704; m. Samuel Gardiner.
6. Martha Coit was born April 1, 1706; m. (1) David Hubbard; (2) Thomas Greene.
