Levi Cox was the husband of Ann Hart Cox.

Levi lied about his age so that he could volunteer to fight in the War of 1812. He was injured in the Battle of Blandenburg which took place across the river when the British held Washington DC. Also Francis Scott Key was being held prisoner by the British while writing what would become our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.
