Lawrence H Arthur 82 of E Catawissa St.Nesquehoning died Saturday February 20,1999 in the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital,Lehighton.He was the husband of the late Hazle (Morgan) Arthur.He was employed by GAF,Allentown until retiring,previously he worked at the coal breakers of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Camp and also had worked for the former Tubing Comp.Hometown.Born in Nesquehoning he was the son of the late Benjamin B and Bertha (Hiles) Arthur.He was of the Protestant Faith.Arthur was a veteran of World War 11 having fought in the Battle of the Bulge.he was the recipient of three battle stars.He was a member of American Legion,VFW Post both in Nesquehoning.the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association and the National Rifle Ass. Survivors: brother Ben Jr. of Nesquehoning nieces and nephews.Preceded by a brother Thomas.
