ARA VIOLA EARP HENSLEY was married twice. Her first husband was Joseph Lee Hensley, who was the father of her four children. She remarried to Wiley W. Cook. Both marriages ended in divorce.

Her children were: Avayd Eleene Hensley Hintz, Billy Lee Hensley, Clifton Glee Hensley, and Deloras Viola Hensley Holcom.

Ara moved around quite a bit, dividing her time between her children in Kansas, Arizona, Colorado, and Wyoming. During the late 1950's and early 1960's, she lived in Stroud, Oklahoma, where she cared for her mother.

Ara was an attractive, warm lady, who cared for her family and enjoyed life. One of her greatest pleasures was recounting family history.
