Daughter of James McFarland and Lutitia Nave. Wife of James Polk Adcock. They married Jan. 23, 1868 in Cedar Co., MO.

Mrs. J. P. Adcock died at the home in Fort Scott last Friday night. Deceased was a noble christian wife and mother and loved by all who knew her. The husband, daughter, Mrs. F. L. Church, two sons, Thomas and Errett, have the sympathy of their many friends. The remains were laid to rest at Sheldon on Sunday.

Note: Rev. James Polk Adcock died Nov. 30. 1921 in Stockton, Cedar, MO. His death certificate lists him buried in Sheldon Cemetery, as does his obituary, yet his name is not listed in the cemetery records?
