Ron was born in Grand Haven, Michigan, the son of Leonard & Elizabeth Jane (Fisher) France. He had been employed as an electrical engineer at Coffman Electrical Equipment Company. He was a member of Christ Community Church of Spring Lake, the Alumni Association of WMU, Duck's Unlimited and the NRA. He was always faithful, and a good father and friend. He died as a result of a massive heart attack at the age of 56. He is survived by his father, Leonard France of Grand Haven; mother, Jane Stuthard of Spring Lake; former wife, Gale France of Lansing, MI; a son, Joshua France of Lansing; a daughter, Abigail (Richard) Welch of Ft. Polk, LA; 2 sisters, Cathy (Bruce) Martin of Grand Haven & Barb (Rich) Kelly of Grand Haven; step-brother, Jim (Mary) Fisher of Lansing; step-sister, Pam (Gary) Bell of Marion, MI; brother-in-law, Chuck (Marge) Gillette of Norton Shores; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces & great nephews. He was preceded in death by his long-time father-in-law, Earl Gillette.
