Interment followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Greenville.
Mrs. Boyett died Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was a retired nurse.
Mrs Boyett was born November 3, 1924 at Carthage, Mississippi to the late Bob and Jewel Caldwell. She moved to Crowville with her parents at an early age where she attended Crowville public schools. She graduated from Rayville High School. After graduation she attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and received her nursing degree. During her career she worked at Kings Daughters Hospital and General Hospital in Greenville. She also taught nursing at Mississippi Delta Community College, the University of Southern Mississippi and was teaching at the University of Louisiana at Monroe at the time of her retirement in 1977. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Greenville.
Mrs. Boyett was preceded in death by her son Bobby Boyett in 1999.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Rev. S.B. Boyett of Greenville; one son, Rev. Don Boyett of Lake Providence; two daughters, Kathy Day of greenville; Mary L. Blacksher of Alexandria; Three sisters, Ethel Lord of Winnsboro; Doris Jones of Rayville; Bernice Watkins of Carthage, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
