Mrs. Ralph A. Garrett
Mrs. Bertha M. Garrett, 82, of 316 Centennial Ave., died Saturday at 9:10 p.m. at the Hanover General Hospital. Her husband, Ralph A. Garrett, died April 28, 1962.
She was born in Union Township, Adams County, a daughter of the late Jacob and Savannah Myers Sterner. She was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) United Church of Christ. She was affiliated with the Golden Age Club of the YWCA, AARP 2812 and National AARP.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edward W. (Mildred) Jones, 314 Centennial Ave.; a son, Clyde L. Garrett, Hanover RD 6; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a brother, Harry J. Sterner, 121 Jackson St., and two sisters, Mrs. Clair Kindig, Brethren Home, and Mrs. Harry (Carrie) Bankert, 1415 Baltimore St.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, 269 Frederick St., with her pastor, the Rev. Greg D. Beck, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
