Patricia Landon Kelly was born February 8, 1927 in Greenwood, Nebraska. She was the youngest child of William Leroy Kelly, Sr., and Sina Harriet Bellinger Kelly.
She grew up and attended school in Greenwood, Nebraska. Patty was an avid horsewoman through her teens.
In 1947, she married Kenneth Leroy Petersen. The couple had one daughter, Susan.
Before Susan's birth, Patricia and Kenneth had a succesful business selling Stanley Home Products in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Through most of the marriage, Patricia was a stay-at-home mother, but worked in retail sales at several Lincoln department stores over the years.
Following the couple's divorce, Patricia worked in the mail order division of Burden Sales in Lincoln, Nebraska.
She died in January 1983 after an eight month illness of uterine cancer.
