|Robert Hickes was a member of The Worshipful Company of Leathersellers,one of the Livery Companies of the City of London. The organization originated from the latter part of the fourteenth century and received its Royal Charter in 1444.It operated much like the unions of today.They were members of one of the Charters King James organized for funding the Jamestown expedition.|
