A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Reed was the daughter of the late Henry and Lessie Tyner Sloan. She was the retired business owner/operator of Johnny Martin Paving and Grading and was a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William J. "Bill" Reed; stepdaughter and husband, Renee and the Rev. Tim Strickland; granddaughter, Staci Strickland, all of Flowery Branch; special niece and husband, Lora and Tim McDonald, Flowery Branch; and special niece, Johnny Sunderman, Park City, Utah.
Mrs. Reed is preceded in death by her first husband, Johnny Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Tim Strickland, the Rev. David Matthews and the Rev. Parker McDonald will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Poplar Springs Baptist Church, 3104 Poplar Springs Church Road, Gainesville, GA 30507.
