He had been employed by General Motors in Flint, retiring in 1987 after 31 years. He was treasurer of Secord Township since 1988; past secretary of Secord Lake F.O.E. #4121 member of Gladwin-Beaverton Bowling Hall of Fame; and team member of Flint Bowling Hall of Fame.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Donald K. Davis Sr. of McKinley and Douglas K. Davis Sr. of Gladwin; his mother and father-in-law, Orville and Geneva Cox of Weidman; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Alverda Davis.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel with Doug Jones officiating. Special services were by Secord Lake Eagles #4121 at 6 p.m. Saturday.
