Betty Sue Pendergrass, 62, of Decatur, died on Monday, October 26, 2009 in an Athens hospital.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Womack and Willie Mae Howard Womack.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Pendergrass of Decatur; children, Betty Denice Harder of Georgetown, Susan Catlett of Decatur, Willie Ann Greene of Decatur and Joseph Pendergrass of Charleston; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Jean Prentice of Decatur and Mandy Scoggins of Birchwood; brothers, Wayne Womack and Scott Womack, both of Birchwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Harwood officiating. Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
