Glennis Geraldine Nicholas, 88, a former Liberty resident, passed away June 14, 2013. She was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Iberia, Mo., the daughter of Glenn and Anna (Wall) Hodgden. Along with her parents, Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nicholas, and her brother, Donald Hodgden. Glennis retired from E. F. Hutton, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Republican National Committee. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Campbell (Robyn Durst), her stepson, Chris Nicholas (Karen); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Becky, Laura and Jordan; three great grandchildren; niece, Candy Fincher; other family members and friends. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, followed by a funeral service celebrating Jeri's life at 11 a.m. at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial in Glenridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the City Union Mission. Online condolences may be offered at www.parklawnfunerals.com.
