Jeanne C. Brodbeck, 84, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her residence in Franklin.
She was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Ravenna, Ky., to Richard T. and Zelma Faye (Gregg) Crowe.
She married Samuel C. "Sam" Brodbeck on Sept. 26, 1948. He survives in Franklin.
Other survivors include two daughters, Peggy (Jim) Burton of Summerville, S.C., and Debra (Robert) Swinehamer of Franklin; grandchildren, Eric (Gina) Burton of Livermore, Calif., David (Amber) Swinehamer of Bluffton, S.C., and Anna (Zach) Smith of Edinburgh; and three great-grandchildren, Serenity and Faith Smith and Austin Swinehamer.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; and siblings, Richard Crowe, Grace Hurst, Margie Belcamino, Ronald Crowe and Wilma Board.
Jeanne attended school in Ohio and graduated from New Albany High School.
She was employed for many years as a church secretary at Tabernacle Christian Church in Franklin and First Presbyterian Church of Franklin.
She was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church. She was a former member of Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority for several years as well as the Matinee Musicale.
Jeanne enjoyed playing euchre and attending her neighborhood Bible study.
The Rev. Bill Horner will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
