Jacob Paul "Jake" Seyller, age 21, of Woodstock died Sunday at the Advocate-Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born on September 9, 1983 in Elgin. He was a 2002 graduate of Woodstock High School. Jake was employed by Manley Motors in Belvidere where he worked as an Auto Tech.
Survivors include his father, Jeffrey P. Seyller of Genoa; his mother, Penny S. (Robert) Horsman of Woodstock; and a sister, Natalie Horsman, also of Woodstock. His grandparents, Lloyd and Doris Seyller of Hampshire, Nancy Allen of Hampshire, Alice Becker of Woodstock and Claude Horsman of St. Joseph, Illinois. Many aunts, uncles, cousins; as well as countless good and faithful friends survive, especially Todd Loehner, Mike Landbeck, Dave Kanak and Joe Hogel.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Mose Allen; uncles, David Allen and Guy Voss; and an aunt, Robin Seyller.
Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Catherine Catholic Church, 340 S. Stott Street, Genoa. The Rev. Timothy J. Seigel assisted by Jake's uncle, Deacon Rodney Seyller will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery, Hampshire. Visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to The Saint Catherine Catholic Church of Genoa. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is in charge of arrangements.
