Henry Jackson Goodwyn was the son of John Burwell and Catherine (Pope) Goodwyn of Coweta County, Georgia. He married on 29 Dec 1904 Sara Elizabeth "Bessie" Roop also of Georgia. Henry and Bessie Goodwyn had one known daughter Myrtle Frances Goodwyn (1909 - 2005). They also had a son who died in infancy and is buried in nearby Roopville City Cemetery, Carroll County, GA. Henry Jackson Goodwyn was a medical doctor and lived and practiced in Carrollton, Georgia, for many years.
