Grace J. Grinnen, 96, formerly of St. Michaels Terrace, mostly recently of the DuBois Village, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born June 26, 1916, she was a daughter of the late James and Janette Brown Pendleton.
On June 16, 1934, she was married to Fred E. Grinnen Jr., who passed away March 6, 1989.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, boys and grandchildren.
Grace is survived by her three sons: Fred E. and his wife Vivian Grinnen III of Daytona Beach, Fla., Robert T. and his wife Brenda Grinnen of DuBois and Harry L. and his wife LeighAnn Grinnen of Erie. She is also survived by six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Bradley I. Grinnen; a stepgrandchild; two brothers: Robert and George Pendleton; and three sisters: Jeanette Lyons, Ellen Mae Cook Beaton and Martha G. Schindley.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel Inc., DuBois.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with Rev Melissa Kraus officiating.
Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
