Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at a 2:00 PM Service at Martin & Castille Funeral Home in Scott for Elizabeth Rose Graziano Savoie, 86, who died on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home in Lafayette surrounded by her family.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Harold Savoie of Duson; one daughter, Cynthia Atkinson and her husband, Jeff; one grandchild, Jacob Atkinson; two sisters, Ann Graziano Cooke and Angelina Graziano McCullock; two brothers, Harold Graziano and Arthur Graziano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustine Graziano and the former, Florence Artemesio; two brothers, Albert Graziano and Anthony Graziano; and one sister, Rose Graziano.
Mrs. Savoie was born on March 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York and was a resident of Duson, Louisiana for many years. During the years, while her husband, Harold attended Law School, she worked caring for the young children of Duson. Mrs. Savoie was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Duson, where she generously volunteered her cleaning services. She was a wonderful and loving person and will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
