George W. Campbell, of Pennsylvania avenue, this city, died Saturday at 9:15 a. m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. A. Eperthener of Plain Grove, after an illness due to a complication of diseases. Mr. Campbell was a painter by trade and had been a well known resident of this city for many years. He was born at Punxsutawney, Pa., October 16, 1851 and was in his seventieth year. He had been married 49 years. He was a member of the Central Christian church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret A. Campbell and the following children Charles, Jerry and Frank Campbell and Mrs. Elizabeth Gallagher, all of this city, Mrs. H. A. Eperthener of Plain Grove township, and Edward Campbell of Canton, O. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Ella Kingsley of Oil City, Mrs. Olivia Cricks and Mrs. Ada Boney, both of Punxsutawney, Ira J. Campbell of Brookville, Pa., Harry Campbell of Baltimore, Md., and Thaddeus Campbell of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, at 2:30 p. m. at the residence of Mrs. Eperthener in Plain Grove with Rev. C. O. Anderson and Rev. D. P. Shafer of the Central Christian church, in charge. Interment will be made in the Plain Grove cemetery.
