Leonor G. Treviño, 89, our beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend entered into the glory of her eternal life on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Spanish Meadows Nursing Home in Brownsville, Texas surrounded by her loving husband and close friend, Leticia Litton.

Lee, as she was affectionately known to all, was a member of two pioneer families Gonzalez and Arredondo from Los Saenz, Starr County, Texas where she was born and raised to Candelario Gonzalez y Moreno and Leonor Arredondo Gonzalez.

Lee was a devoted and dedicated Special Ed. and Bilingual teacher in both Texas and Georgia for over 35 years. The majority of those years were spent working for the BISD.

A devout Roman Catholic, Lee was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Bishop Adolph Marx #1988. She was also an active catechist at both Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Mary's. Lee was also a member of Kappa Kappa Iota and even served as State President. Lee was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all her family and those fortunate to have known her.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Leonor and Candelario Gonzalez; a sister, Estela G. Saldivar; and two brothers: Servando and Encarnacion Gonzalez.

Left behind to eternally treasure their memories of her is her loving and devoted husband of 65 years: Heriberto Augustin Treviño; her sisters, Maxie G. Cantu and Anita Cantu, both from Falfurrias, TX; her brother, Candelario L. Gonzalez and his wife Mary; two sisters-in-law, Petra and Lourdes Gonzalez; her two close friends and caretakers, Leticia Litton and Felicitas Alcoser; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other extended family members.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and continue through 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.

Lee will be transferred to her hometown of Los Saenz, Texas for funeral services on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013.

Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Los Saenz from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 with a Funeral Mass scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Committal services will follow at the Los Saenz Cemetery.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Lee's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 25, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1944 Barnard Road in Brownsville.
