Andrew Beard was a Revolutionary War Veteran and one of the founding fathers of Gardner, MA.

Andrew Beard is known to have been a private in Captain Miles Company, in Colonel John Whitcomb's Regiment in 1775.

Beard was married to a Miss Burnap and together they had 11 children. In addition Beard was a carpenter in Gardner and signed the petition to incorporate Gardner as a town in 1785.
