Funeral services were held Tuesday morning for Mrs. William Baker, a former county resident who passed away Saturday morning at Memorial hospital, Sheboygan. She had been ill for some time.
Services were held at St. Mary’s church. Rev. Joseph Bartelme officiated. Burial was in Hillside cemetery.
Mrs. Baker nee Mary Wendel, was born in the town of Brothertown, May 9, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wendel. She attended St. Charles church, Charlestown.
She was married Feb. 22, 1903, to Mr. Baker at St. Charles church, Charlestown.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Catherine Lavey and Mrs. Alma Bodinger, Sheboygan; Mrs. Mac Hall Appleton; Mrs. Irene Lukie, San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. Margaret Reese and Mrs. Jeanie Peske of Milwaukee; five sons, Archie and Herbert of Milwaukee, Oscar of Hager, Wis.; Walter of New Holstein, and George of Pepin; a brother, Fredrich of Kiel; 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
