OBITUARY
Pioneer Resident is Called by Death
Elling N. Hanson, 83 years of age, retired farmer and highly respected citizen of Vermillion, died at his home on West Main Street on Wednesday morning after an illness of only a few days.Mr. Hanson was born in Norway, coming as a young man to the country. He took up a homestead in Norway Township, on which he continued to reside
until eleven years ago when he retired from active work and moved into Vermillion. Soon after coming to this country he was united in marriage with Miss Julia Anderson, who survives him.He is also survived by three sons: Oliver Hanson of Oacoma, George Hanson of Chambers, NE, and Alfred Hanson of Vermilion; and by two daughters, Mrs. Helena Anderson of Hartington, NE, and Mrs. Constance Vickrey of Vermillion.
Funeral services will be held from Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. L. A. Roseland officiating. Burial will be in Bluffview Cemetery.
